[tps_header]Each week we take a look back at the top performers in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ minor league system from the previous week, highlighting the pitchers with the best Game Scores and the hitters with the most runs created. Below are the top five pitchers and hitters from last week, including stats and notes on each player.[/tps_header]

Tyler Glasnow 2

Tyler Glasnow, Altoona – 77 GS (5/1)

Line: 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 0 HR

Notes: For the second time this season, Glasnow pitched six innings without giving up a walk. After giving up four walks in five innings on April 11th, he has gone his next three starts giving up just two walks in 17.2 innings. That’s impressive, especially since Glasnow had just one outing in 2014 with zero walks, and that start came in his last outing of the season. In 2013 he had one start with zero walks, going five innings in his first outing of the year. Glasnow only needed four starts this season to match the number of zero walk games from the last two years.
