Minor Moves: Taillon Officially Promoted, Expected to Start Tonight

Published:

Jameson Taillon
Jameson Taillon has officially been promoted to Indianapolis.

Here are the minor league moves from the last few days.

**Jameson Taillon has officially been promoted to Indianapolis, and is making his debut tonight. We heard about the promotion on Friday from Cory Giger. Neal Huntington talked about Taillon’s promotion on Sunday.

“There isn’t a great science to player movement up or down,” Huntington said. “We felt like Jameson had done what he needed to do to be ready for the next challenge. We felt like the changeup, his belief in it, the quality and consistency of it, was ready for the next level. The two-seam, the four-seam and the curveball have been ready for a while. We thought it would be a good opportunity for Jameson to have a strong finish to the season facing better hitters and getting a taste of that next level.”

**To make room for Taillon, Ethan Hollingsworth has been sent to Altoona from Indianapolis.

**David Bromberg was sent to Altoona yesterday from Indianapolis, making room after Vic Black was returned to Triple-A.

**Jeff Larish was released over the weekend to make room on the Indianapolis roster for Robert Andino.

UPDATE 4:14 PM: Changed the above to show that Taillon is officially the starter. Also added a quote from Neal Huntington.
