Big day, as not only do Jameson Taillon and Tyler Glasnow take the mound, there are some other interesting pitchers on the schedule. Altoona was suspended in the first inning of Monday’s game. They will finish that game today, prior to the regularly scheduled game, which will now be seven innings. Bradenton was rained out yesterday. They will make the game up as part of a doubleheader in August. The GCL Pirates were rained out yesterday as well. They will play a doubleheader today. Stolmy Pimentel will make his fourth start for Indianapolis tonight. He started off with two strong outings for Indianapolis, allowing one earned run over 13 innings. His last outing was a tough one, giving up six runs on five hits and four walks in five innings. With Altoona, Pimentel was 4-3, 3.61 in 13 starts. On the year, he has thrown a total of 95.1 innings, allowing 88 hits, nine homers and 44 walks. He has 80 strikeouts, a 1.16 GO/AO ratio and a .244 BAA.

Jameson Taillon will start the completion of yesterday’s game for Altoona. The game two starter has yet to be announced. Joely Rodriguez will make his third start for Bradenton since being promoted from West Virginia. In his first game, he went five innings, giving up three runs on five hits, one walk and he struck out two batters. In his last outing, Rodriguez went 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and one walk, with two strikeouts. With West Virginia, he went 5-5, 2.72 in 14 starts, with 57 strikeouts, a 2.15 GO/AO ratio and a .280 BAA.

Isaac Sanchez will make his third start of the season tonight. He did make a start on 6/27, but that game was suspended and hasn’t been finished yet so the stats are still unoffical. In his last official start, he went three innings, leaving early due to his pitch count. He gave up one run on one hit and four walks. In his first outing, he threw five shutout innings, giving up three hits, no walks and he struck out five batters.

Cesilio Pimentel will make his second start of the season. In his first start, he gave up one earned run over 2.2 innings, allowing three hits and one walk without recording a strikeout. Pimentel has spent the last two season in the DSL, where he went 3-3, 2.75 in six starts and eight relief appearances last year. He had 38 strikeouts and a .229 BAA in 52.1 innings. In 2011, he went 1-1, 2.31 in three starts and four relief outings. In 23.1 innings, he had 31 strikeouts and a .211 BAA. Wei-Chung Wang will likely start game two today, his third start of the season. In his first outing, he went 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on five hits, no walks and he struck out eight batters. In game two, he again went 4.1 innings. In that game, he gave up one run on four hits, no walks and he had four strikeouts. Wang missed all of last year with Tommy John Surgery.
