Game Notes: Andy Oliver’s control has been horrible lately. In his last ten games he has 54 walks in 50.1 innings, and on the season he has 77 in 88.2 innings. In April he walked 19 in 32.1 innings, but in May and June he has walked a batter an inning or more. Jose Contreras pitched two shutout innings, and now has given up just one earned run in 7.1 innings since his return to Indianapolis, with an 8:4 K/BB ratio. Chase d’Arnaud hit his fourth homer of the year. Tony Sanchez hit his 21st double.

Game Notes: Eliecer Navarro has given up 12 earned runs in 17 innings in his first three starts at the Double-A level, with a 14:8 K/BB ratio. Gregory Polanco picked up two hits and stole his fourth base in Double-A. Drew Maggi hit his first homer of the year, and his first in Double-A since the middle of last April.

Game Notes: Polanco went 1-for-3 in the second game, combining to go 3-for-7 with a walk and a stolen base in the double header. Drew Maggi combined to go 3-for-7 with two doubles and a homer. Alex Dickerson picked up his seventh homer of the year. He has been hitting well in June, with a .272 average and a .799 OPS.

Game Notes: Adrian Sampson was hit hard in the second and third innings, giving up all five of his runs in those frames. Prior to this outing he had given up eight earned runs in 26 innings over his previous four starts. Ryan Beckman came in and threw two shutout innings. Beckman is returning from Tommy John surgery, and showed some good movement on his pitches. He throws sidearm and featured a good sinking fastball, along with a slider that had good horizontal movement. The Marauders offense only had two hits. Alen Hanson was out with a leg cramp.

Game Notes: Dovydas Neverauskas had a great debut, throwing five innings with no walks and one earned run. In his last two starts he has given up six earned runs in 4.2 innings, with four walks and one strikeout. Neverauskas has good stuff, but he’s got inconsistent command. Jared Lakind made his second appearance as a pitcher, throwing another shutout inning. The Jammers were 4-for-4 in stolen bases tonight, with Michael Fransoso and Harold Ramirez each stealing their fourth base of the season.

Game Notes: Adrian Grullon looked good through three innings, but struggled in the fourth. In two starts this year he has given up two runs in 7.1 innings, with a 9:2 K/BB ratio. Grullon flashed a 90-92 MPH fastball and a nice low-80s curveball to pick up a few swings and misses. Jon Sandfort made his season debut, throwing three shutout innings with two hits and three strikeouts. Sandfort was 89-91 MPH, and also had a nice curveball to get his strikeouts.
