Stolmy Pimentel will make his first start for Indianapolis tonight. With Altoona, Pimentel was 4-3, 3.61 in 13 starts. He pitched a total of 77.1 innings, allowing 74 hits, eight homers and 35 walks. He recorded 61 strikeouts, had a 1.09 GO/AO ratio and a .252 BAA. In his last start, Pimentel went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, six walks and he struck out five batters. In his prior start, he struck out seven batters over six innings, picking up the win at home against Reading.

Altoona is off today. When they resume play on Tuesday, they will play three at home, then three on the road, then back home for three, before going back on the road. Altoona is in last place in their division, though they trail first place by just six games. They are 7-3 in their last ten and they have won five in a row. The Curve have a 16-17 home record. They are last in the 12 team Eastern League with a .236 team average and also with a .687 OPS.

Adrian Sampson will get the start today for Bradenton. This will be his 12th start and 13th overall appearances. He has pitched a total of 60.1 innings, allowing 78 hits, 11 homers and 12 walks. He has 32 strikeouts, a 1.17 GO/AO ratio and a .315 BAA. In the month of June, Sampson has made two starts, posting a 3.46 ERA and .170 BAA in 13 innings, with just one walk. He has pitched just 14.1 innings on the road this season.

West Virginia is sending six players to the South Atlantic All-Star Game on Tuesday night.

Probable Starter: Isaac Sanchez (NR)
Isaac Sanchez will start on Opening Day. The 20-year-old righty has made just one career start over his first three seasons in pro ball. He spent most of last season in the Gulf Coast League, joining State College for three relief appearance. Sanchez pitched well in his 24 innings in the GCL, posting a 3.00 ERA, a .227 BAA and he struck out 19 batters. In the NYPL, he had some troubles, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks in four innings. Sanchez has allowed just one homer in his career.
