James McDonald gets his second start with Indianapolis tonight

AAA: Indianapolis (44-22) vs Norfolk (38-27) 7:05pm
Probable starter: James McDonald (0-1, 7.36)
Yesterday’s Result: Norfolk 2, Indianapolis 1

James McDonald will get his fourth rehab start tonight. In his first game while with Altoona, McDonald recorded just two outs before being knocked out of the game due to his pitch count. In his second start, he was able to go four innings. McDonald was called up to Indianapolis for a start five days ago. He threw 3.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk, with two strikeouts. He was on an 80 pitch count limit in that game.

Yesterday’s Result: Altoona was off yesterday

Stolmy Pimentel will make his 13th start of the season tonight. He has pitched a total of 70.1 innings this year, allowing 71 hits, eight homers and 29 walks. He has 56 strikeouts, a 1.10 GO/AO ratio and a .260 BAA. In his last start, Pimentel went six innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits, one walk and he struck out seven batters. He had a tough month of May, going 0-3, 7.15 in six starts. He had a 0.30 ERA in five April starts. On the road, he is 1-1, 3.00 in six starts.

Eliecer Navarro will make his 11th start of the season today. He has also pitched twice in relief. Navarro hasn’t allowed a home run or walk to a left-handed batter this season. In his last start, he picked up his first win by throwing seven shutout innings.

Rodriguez has pitched 63 innings this year, allowing 62 hits, four homers and 17 walks. He has 50 strikeouts, a 2.07 GO/AO ratio and a .263 BAA. In his last start, he went three innings against this same Delmarva team before rained postponed the rest of the game. Rodriguez allowed one run on two hits and a walk, picking up the loss in the process. John Kuchno will likely start the other game. He will make his tenth start of the season tonight.
