Phil Irwin went a few weeks without pitching after making his major league debut. He was out with arm fatigue, but returned to the Indianapolis rotation this weekend and threw four shutout innings. Apparently the problem isn’t over, as Irwin was placed on the Indianapolis disabled list today with arm fatigue.

Rob Biertempfel has an update, noting that the injury isn’t serious.

Oscar Tejeda was sent to Indianapolis today to take Irwin’s roster spot.
