A look at how the current top 20 prospects did today. Note that this list doesn’t include players currently in the majors. If a player is in the majors, he will be removed, everyone below him will be shifted up a spot, and a new player will be added to the bottom of the list. Rankings are from the pre-season rankings, and links to each prospect writeup can be found by clicking the player names below. Duke Welker, RHP (0.00) – 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 0 HR
Game Notes: Alex Presley is off to a hot start. After going 2-for-4 last night, he added three more hits tonight, including a double and a homer. Presley scored three of the four runs for Indianapolis. Jordy Mercer joined Alex Presley last night as the only other player with a hit. Tonight he added two more, both doubles. Gerrit Cole got off to a good start in the first three innings. He gave up just one hit and struck out one. In the fourth he ran into trouble. Cole gave up three runs on four hits in the inning. That was his last inning, most likely due to a single inning pitch limit, since he topped 30 pitches in the inning.
AA: ALTOONA CURVE

Adalberto Santos, 3B (.333) – 1-for-3, 2 BB
Carlos Paulino, C (.500) – 2-for-2, 3 BB
Game Notes: Altoona started off the night with five straight hits, and scored three of their four runs in the first inning. Mel Rojas had a double in the first, then later added an inside the park home run. He had a little help, as the center fielder ran into the wall and didn’t get back up. Jarek Cunningham had his second straight two hit night, as did Matt Curry. Casey Sadler is a sleeper pitching prospect to watch this year, falling just outside of our top 30. Sadler had a good Double-A debut, which featured an 11:0 GO/AO ratio from the sinkerball pitcher.

Ryan Hafner finished it out, giving up four runs in 2.1 innings, with three home runs. Max Moroff picked up his first hits of the year with his three hit night.
