Drew Sutton Outrighted to Indianapolis

Published:

Drew Sutton, who was designated for assignment last week at the trade deadline, has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Indianapolis. Because he’s still in the organization, Sutton joins the list of candidates who could be called up when rosters expand in September. He would have to be added back to the 40-man roster if that happened. Sutton hit for a .243/.278/.419 line in 74 at-bats with the Pirates this year.
