Bradenton is now on their All-Star break. They resume their schedule next Monday. The Florida State League All-Star game is Saturday night. State College and the GCL Pirates open their schedule on Monday. The State College mini-camp roster was released today. A full recap of yesterday’s games can be found here.

Brandon Cumpton leads all Pirates minor leaguers with seven wins

Triple-A: Indianapolis (39-27) @ Charlotte (39-29) 7:15pm
Probable starter: Daniel Cabrera (2-2 4.23)

Yesterday’s Result: Indianapolis 5 Charlotte 3

Daniel Cabrera will make his tenth start of the season tonight, ninth for Indianapolis. He has pitched a total of 50.2 innings, allowing 55 hits, two homers, 15 walks and he has 31 strikeouts. In his last start, Daniel gave up two runs in 6.1 innings. In his two previous starts combined, Cabrera allowed nine runs in 9.2 innings. On the road this year, he is 0-1 4.02 in three starts.

Double-A: Altoona (29-35) @ Binghamton (30-32) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Brandon Cumpton (7-4 2.97)

Brandon Cumpton will make his 13th start of the season tonight. He has pitched a total of 75.2 innings, allowing 60 hits, five homers, 22 walks and he has struck out 43 batters. Brandon allowed one run over 6.1 innings in his last start, giving up two hits and four walks. In his last three starts combined, he has thrown a total of 21.1 innings, allowing just two runs and nine hits. On the road this year, Cumpton is 1-2 3.75 in four starts. He is the team leader in wins, innings pitched, strikeouts, WHIP(1.08) and ERA. Brandon is second in the Eastern League in wins and ranks seventh in both WHIP and IP.

High-A: Bradenton (27-40) VS St Lucie (48-17) 6:30pm 6/18
Probable starter: All-Star Break

Bradenton is in last place in their division, eliminated from the first half title. The league records reset after 70 games for the second half title run. The Marauders have a 16-17 home record, 11-23 road record. They are 2-8 in their last ten games and they broke a five game losing streak with their win in the last game before the break. Jameson Taillon and Gerrit Cole will go to the FSL All-Star game as representatives of the Marauders. Stefan Welch was selected as a replacement to the game but he was recently called up to Altoona.

Low-A: West Virginia (21-46) VS Hagerstown (41-25) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Matt Benedict (4-4 3.66)

Yesterday’s Result: West Virginia 6 Hagerstown 8

Matt Benedict will make his 14th start of the season tonight. He has pitched a total of 71.1 innings, allowing 69 hits, just three homers, 20 walks and he has 42 strikeouts. He has a 1.60 GO/AO ratio and a .255 BAA. Matt had a rough start in his last outing, giving up 11 runs in 3.2 innings. At home this year, he is 3-2 3.69 in eight starts. Benedict is the team leader in wins, WHIP(1.25) and IP.
