Matt Curry Close to Returning From Hamstring Injury

Pittsburgh Pirates first base prospect Matt Curry is currently out with a hamstring injury. Curry tweeted that he ran sprints today for the first time since the injury. He mentioned that everything went well and the leg felt great. The tweet also included a note that he will return on Tuesday.

Prior to the injury, Curry was hitting for a .284/.342/.438 line in 176 at-bats on the season. He was on a hot streak, with a .333/.385/.528 line in 36 at-bats over his last ten games, including going 5-for-8 with four doubles in his last two games.
