Gerrit Cole will make his seventh start of his pro career tonight. He has pitched at least five innings in each of his last four starts, after having his pitch count limited earlier in the year. Cole has made five of his starts on the road this year. His only home start came on 4/20 against Ft Myers when he allowed three runs in five innings with seven strikeouts. Gerrit has averaged at least a strikeout per inning in all of his starts. Batters are hit .202 against him and left-handers are hitting just .156.

Zac Fuesser will make his seventh start of the season tonight. He has yet to pick up a decision this year. In 26 innings this year, Zac has allowed 25 hits, 13 walks and has struck out 22 batters. In his last start, he went five innings, giving up one run on eight hits and one walk. Fuesser hasn’t allowed a home run since his first outing. He pitched four shutout innings against Charleston on 4/19, giving up two hits and one walk, with four strikeouts.
