Burnett to Make Debut Tonight; Reinstated From DL

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Pirates have reinstated RHP A.J. Burnett from the 15-day disabled list and he will start the game tonight in Pittsburgh against St. Louis.

Right-hander Kevin Correia is experiencing discomfort in his left side and will not be starting the game tonight.

Burnett was originally scheduled to make his final rehab start for Double-A Altoona tonight.

The Pirates optioned righty reliever Jared Hughes to Triple-A to make room for Burnett on the 25-man roster.

Nice one, Kevin!

Any guesses on the roster move? A trade of Hanrahan to the Giants? Pedro to Indy?

If anyone has a sense of humor in the Pirates’ clubhouse, they should have a bundt cake for him during the pre-game buffet.
