PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE

Leones de Ponce  3,  Criollos de Caguas  2

Los Criollos took a 1-0 lead into the middle of the 8th inning.  Los Leones began their rally with a one-out walk, and Benji Gonzalez came on as a pinch-runner.  He scored the tying run from first base on an RBI double, and a single drove in Los Leones’ go-ahead run.  Gonzalez remained in the game at third base, while former Pirate RJ Rodriguez took over on the mound for the top of the 9th.  Rodriguez gave up a single and a walk, with a wild pitch, putting Los Criollos’ runners on the corners.  Another single drove in the runner from third, tying the game again.  Los Leones won the game in the bottom of the 9th on a walk-off homer.  Rodriguez was charged with a blown save, and also earned his first win of the season.
