The Mesa Solar Sox lost 4-3 to the Scottsdale Scorpions.
Robbie Grossman started in right field and batted leadoff. Grossman went 2-for-5 with an RBI. His hits came in his first two at-bats of the game. Grossman has played in all six Mesa games, and has a hit in five of those six games, with a .333 average in 27 at-bats.
Jarek Cunningham started at second base, going 0-for-2 with a walk, and an RBI on a sacrifice fly. Cunningham only has two hits on the season in 17 at-bats, but has played in five of the six games for Mesa.
Michael Colla made his second appearance, pitching 1.2 shutout innings, allowing a hit, a walk, and striking out one. However, Colla blew the save in the fourth inning, allowing his only inherited runner to score, tying the game at 3-3.
Mesa plays Scottsdale tomorrow at 3:35 PM EST.
