The Pittsburgh Pirates have released Chris Leroux, according to an Altoona press release. Â Leroux’s release clears space on the Altoona roster for the return of Bryan Morris, who was previously on the disabled list. Â Since Leroux was also on the 40-man roster, that clears a spot. Â The 40-man is currently at 38 players.
UPDATE 2:51 PM: First press release was a mistake. Â Altoona sent a follow up saying Leroux was promoted to Indianapolis to make room for Morris. Â The 40-man still remains at 39 players.
