Draft Prospect Notes: Rendon, Purke

Published:

Rendon is heating up, with two homers in his last two games.

Two draft prospect updates from today…

-Anthony Rendon went 1-for-2 with two walks in today’s game against USC, with his hit being a home run.  Rendon has homered two games in a row now.  Rendon started off slow, going 1-for-8 in his first two games, with his only hit being a single.  Since then he has hit for a .556/.652/.944 line, going 10-for-18 with two homers and five walks in his last five games.  He is definitely starting to heat up.

-Matt Purke, who had his start moved from Friday to Sunday because of a blister, will miss the entire weekend due to the same blister.  His next start will be next Friday.
