VENEZUELAN LEAGUE
Aguilas de Zulia  8,  Tigres de Aragua  2  —
Los Aguilas scored 7 runs over the first 4 innings, and Los Tigres could not catch up.  Aragua scored their 2 runs in the 5th.  1B Hector Gimenez led off the inning by reaching second base on a throwing error.  LF Lastings Milledge moved him to third base with a ground out to short, then a triple pushed Gimenez across the plate.  A sacrifice fly brought in Los Tigres’ second run.  Gimenez and Milledge both singled in the 9th inning with two outs, but a ground out to the pitcher ended the game.  CF Jorge Cortes did not have a hit for Los Tigres.

Caribes de Anzoategui  6,  Bravos de Margarita  2  —  Los Caribes scored 3 runs in their big 3rd inning, which began with back-to-back solo homer, followed by a double, a single, and a sacrifice fly.  Los Bravos scored one run in the 2nd on two singles and a sacrifice fly by C JR House.  They added a solo homer in the 4th.  Jhonathan Ramos pitched to three batters in the 6th inning for Los Bravos.  He took the mound with one out and one on (hit batter), but Ramos gave up a pair of singles around a pop out, driving in one run (charged to the previous pitcher).  Ramos was also relieved, and a ground out ended the inning without further runs scoring.
