Arizona Fall League Recap: 11/10

All four Pirates hitting prospects started, but the Mesa Solar Sox lost 9-6:

-Andrew Lambo (.299) started in right field, batting sixth.  Lambo went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts.  He was hit in the knee with a pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning, then was pulled from the game in the top of the seventh.

-Josh Harrison (.329) started at second base, batting leadoff.  Harrison went 1-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base (3), and a run.

-Jordy Mercer (.279) started at shortstop, batting seventh.  Mercer went 1-for-3 with two walks, a run, and an RBI.  He also committed an error, his sixth of the AFL season.

-Tony Sanchez (.208) started at catcher, batting fifth.  Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.  He was 1-for-2 against base stealers.

Mesa plays Surprise tomorrow at 12:35 PM MST/2:35 PM EST.
