Final minor league game of the season for me.  I’ve covered three Pirates’ affiliates this year in six different parks, plus Spring Training, and have probably seen close to 20 games in person, not counting the Spring Training action.  I’m hoping to see more next year.

A lot of these guys I’ve covered extensively over the last two seasons.  I don’t have much access to see Indianapolis live, so I’m hoping the next time I see these guys live will be in Pittsburgh (and hopefully not next year or a future year in Altoona again).  Actually it will be in Spring Training next year, but you get what I mean.  Looking at the pitching on this team, I’m sure I’m joined by a lot of Pirates fans who want to see these guys in Pittsburgh sooner, rather than later.

I’ll have some more notes before game time, and I’ll have the live blog up again tonight, so check back for that as well.

UPDATE 6:33 PM: Well, I worked on the State College season recap before the game.  First pitch is thrown, and switching over to the live blog, which is up on the main page.
