D'Arnaud was added to the Team USA roster.

Chase d’Arnaud has been added to the Team USA roster, replacing shortstop Andrew Romine, according to Baseball America.  Romine, the older brother of New York Yankees catching prospect Austin Romine, was pulled from the Team USA roster after being promoted to the majors by the Los Angeles Angels.

D’Arnaud joins Erik Kratz on the roster as the only Pirates prospects, although several former Pirates prospects are represented, such as Todd Redmond and Brad Eldred, as well as former Pirate Jay Bell, who is serving as an assistant coach.

Team USA will play in the Pan AM Qualifying Tournament, which functions as a qualifier for both the 2011 Pan Am Games, scheduled in Mexico in October 2011, and a future baseball World Cup.
