Pirates Game Discussion: Pirates at Brewers, 7:40 PM

The Pittsburgh Pirates (5-4) are on the road to take on the Milwaukee Brewers (5-5) in a three-game series, starting tonight at 7:40 PM. The opening game of the series will see Zach Thompson (0-0, 4.50) take the mound for the Pirates, making his second start of the season. Lefty Eric Lauer (0-0, 6.23) will be on the mound for the Brewers. He is also making his second start.

Luis Oviedo was activated from the injured list today and optioned to Altoona, where he made his last rehab appearance.

Jacob Gonzalez was named as the Player of the Week for the Florida State League. The Bradenton first baseman hit .611/.619/1.056 in five games last week, with two doubles, two homers and six RBIs.
