Live Discussion: Pirates vs Twins, 1:05 PM; Spring Training Opener

Welcome to the first Live Discussion of 2020. Today is the first Spring Training game for the Pittsburgh Pirates, as they host the Minnesota Twins in Bradenton.

Here’s the Pirates lineup:

  4. Josh Bell, 1B
  5. Cole Tucker, SS
  6. Jacob Stallings, C
  7. Phillip Evans, 3B

The pitchers for today will be Mitch Keller as the starter, followed by James Marvel, Michael Feliz, Clay Holmes, Miguel Del Pozo, Williams Jerez and Blake Cederlind.

The starters will play between 4-6 innings, and the Pirates likely have about 15 bench players available for today, plus some extra pitchers not listed above.

The game can be heard on KDKA 1020 AM.

The scheduled pitchers for tomorrow at home are Derek Holland, Steven Brault, Richard Rodriguez, Sam Howard, Robbie Erlin, Keone Kela and Tom Koehler.

The road game against the Philadelphia Phillies will feature Trevor Williams, Hector Noesi, Cody Ponce, Nick Burdi, Blake Weiman and Montana DuRapau.

Chris Archer will start Monday against Gerrit Cole and the New York Yankees. Joe Musgrove is starting on Tuesday.
