Jameson Taillon gets the start for Altoona, while Tyler Glasnow goes for West Virginia. The Gulf Coast League kicks off their season yesterday. Stolmy Pimentel will make his second start since being promoted to Indianapolis. In his debut five days ago on the road against Norfolk, he went six innings, allowing one unearned run on five hits, two walks and he struck out seven batters. Pimentel made 13 starts for Altoona this year, going 4-3, 3.61 in 77.1 innings. He allowed 74 hits, eight homers and 35 walks, while picking up 61 strikeouts, posting a 1.09 GO/AO ratio and a .252 BAA.

Probable starter: Jameson Taillon (3-5, 2.89)

Jameson Taillon will make his 14th start of the season tonight. He has pitched a total of 71.2 innings, allowing 70 hits, five homers and 27 walks. He has 77 strikeouts, a 1.21 GO/AO ratio and a .248 BAA. In his last start, Taillon allowed one unearned run over five innings, giving up six hits, no walks and he struck out six batters. He has pitched much better at home this year, posting a 1.74 ERA in eight starts in Altoona versus a 5.04 road ERA. Taillon ranks sixth in the Eastern League in ERA and tied for fourth in strikeouts.
High-A: Bradenton (27-43 overall, 1-1 2nd half) vs Charlotte (30-39) 6:30pm
Probable starter: Orlando Castro (NR)

Orlando Castro will make his Bradenton debut today. He has spent the season with West Virginia, where he went 7-4, 1.93 in 13 starts. In 74.2 innings, he gave up 65 hits, five homers and just six walks. Castro had 63 strikeouts, a 1.20 GO/AO ratio and a .236 BAA. In his last start for West Virginia, he gave up two earned runs on six hits and a walk in six innings. He has not allowed a home run or walk to a left-handed batter this year. Castro started the South Atlantic League All-Star game.
Low-A: West Virginia (38-34 overall, 1-1 2nd half) vs Lakewood (27-42) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Tyler Glasnow (3-1, 2.83)

Tyler Glasnow will make his 14th start of the season tonight. In his last start, he allowed a season high of five hits, but he also walked just one batter, a season low. On the year, he has pitched a total of 57.1 innings, giving up 28 hits, six homers and 36 walks. He has 85 strikeouts, a 1.00 GO/AO ratio and a .143 BAA. He ranks fourth in the SAL in strikeouts. At home this year, Glasnow is 1-1, 2.59 in seven starts. He was elected to the SAL All-Star team, but did not pitch in the game.

Isaac Sanchez will make his second start of the season tonight. In his debut against Mahoning Valley, he threw five scoreless innings, giving up three hits, no walks and he struck out five batters. Last year in the Gulf Coast League, he had a 3.00 ERA in 24 innings over 15 appearances. Miguel Rosario will start game two of the GCL season for the Pirates. He pitched in the Dominican Summer League last year, where he threw just 6.2 innings over three relief appearances.
