| Rodriguez signed as a potential power hitter.
2021 Playing first base and left field, Rodriguez had a good debut. His plate discipline was excellent and he hit for some power. 2022 A little surprisingly, the Pirates sent Rodriguez back to the DSL. He had a season that was very similar to the year before, the main difference being higher walk and K rates. His numbers suffered from a rough start, as he had an OPS of .559 in June, followed by 1.109 in July. This time he played left almost exclusively. Rodriguez has shown some promise, most importantly the ability to hit for power. He should be in the FCL in 2023. |
