| Morales is an infielder who has a chance to stick at shortstop. He’s not expected to develop much power, but could develop the contact skills to move forward. There were reports that he was taking up switch-hitting. If he did, the bots at MiLB.com didn’t pick it up, which would be typical.
2022 Morales held his own at the plate, especially for a 17-year-old. He drew a lot of walks and hit for some gap power. He played second, short and third, in descending order of frequency. Morales had a good enough debut that he could reach the FCL at age 18. |
