If a player is in the majors for an extended time or loses his prospect eligibility (Clay Holmes, Jacob Stallings, Kevin Newman and Bryan Reynolds), he will be removed from this list. Everyone below him will be shifted up a spot, and a new player will be added to the bottom of the list. If a player is out for the season (Travis MacGregor, Nick Burdi and Stephen Alemais), he will be removed and everyone below him will move up a spot. Removing these guys doesn’t mean they have lost prospect status. It is just an attempt to get more active prospects on the list. Indianapolis stomped Columbus, 17-5. Every Indy starter had at least one hit and at least one run scored except Will Craig, who went 0-for-6 with four strikeouts. Three different players drove in four runs apiece. Gregory Polanco played most of the game in right field and hit a pair of doubles. Kevin Kramer also had two doubles, giving him 24 on the season. Pablo Reyes topped them, driving in four with his sixth and seventh home runs. Ke’Bryan Hayes scored four times, picking up a single, a walk and his fifth home run. Darnell Sweeney also went deep, his first, and Jake Elmore had three hits.
James Marvel started and threw four shutout innings before giving up five runs in the fifth. He left with two outs in the inning, having allowed six hits and four walks. Montana DuRapau, Keone Kela and Sean Keselica combined for four and a third scoreless innings. Kela, starting his second rehab attempt, went one inning, retiring all three batters, two on strikes.

Altoona beat Erie in ten innings, 10-7. Jared Oliva stayed red hot, driving in five runs, including the go-ahead run in the tenth, with two singles and his 17th double. Oliva is 18-for-38 (.474) in his last ten games. He has an 1.132 OPS in July. Jerrick Suiter also had three hits, including his fourth home run. Logan Hill added his sixth home run, with a man aboard, in the tenth to extend the lead. (Hill also hit two for Indianapolis.) Chris Sharpe scored three runs.
Cody Bolton started and gave up four runs on a three-run homer in the second and a solo bomb in the third. Overall he allowed five hits and two walks in five innings, with four strikeouts. Beau Sulzer and Jesus Liranzo each threw two scoreless innings in relief.

Bradenton got a two-run, walkoff single from Lucas Tancas in the bottom of the tenth to beat Fort Myers, 6-5. Tancas had two other hits, including his 22nd double, and drove in five on the day. Deon Stafford had two hits, including his sixth home run, and scored three times. The longball tied the game, 4-4, in the bottom of the ninth. Raul Hernandez had a double and two singles.
The Marauders took a 3-2 lead into the ninth, but Nick Mears gave up two runs to leave them behind, 4-3. Mears ended up going two innings, giving up four hits and a walk, and striking out four. Gavin Wallace started and allowed two runs over six innings. Ryan Valdes, Shea Murray and Matt Eardensohn each threw a scoreless inning.

Greensboro lost a seesaw game to West Virginia, 10-8. The Grasshoppers pounded out 17 hits, but it wasn’t enough. Ji-Hwan Bae, Fabricio Macias, Jonah Davis and Mike Gretler each had three hits. Bae stole two bases, giving him 17 on the year. Macias had his 14th double and 12th steal. Davis hit his sixth home run and scored three times. He seems to be coming around, as he’s gone 16-for-46 (.348) over his last 11 games, although strikeouts remain a major issue. Gretler had two doubles, giving him 12 on the year.
Steven Jennings had a rough start, giving up five runs on eight hits in four and two-thirds innings. Cam Alldred gave up another four in an inning and two-thirds. Yerry De Los Santos threw a 1-2-3 ninth with one strikeout.

Morgantown lost to Brooklyn, 3-1. The Black Bears had only five hits and whiffed 15 times. Kyle Wilkie and Matt Fraizer each had two hits, with Fraizer getting his third double. Victor Ngoepe had the remaining hit. Will Kobos had his best start of the season, giving up two runs on seven hits in five innings. He walked nobody and struck out five. Xavier Concepcion gave up one run in two innings.

Bristol got only one hit in a 2-0 loss to Pulaski. A third inning single by Josh Bissonette and three walks were all the offense the Pirates could muster. The absent offense wasted a good start from Tahnaj Thomas, who gave up just one run on three hits over five innings. He didn’t walk anybody and set a career high by fanning eight. In his last 14.2 IP, Thomas has walked one and struck out 20. Alex Roth added two hitless and scoreless innings, walking one and striking out three.

The GCL Pirates lost to the Orioles, 3-0. The offense continued to struggle, producing only a fifth inning single by Dylan Shockley and one in the ninth by Yoyner Fajardo. Sammy Siani and Juan Pie both went 0-for-4, which dropped Pie’s average to .133. The Pirates used five pitchers to cover the eight innings. Starter Emmanuel De Los Santos threw two scoreless innings. Bryan Torres gave up a run in two innings to take the loss. Julio Rosario gave up the other two runs, both unearned. Hai-Cheng Gong allowed no hits or walks in his two innings, striking out three.
