Chase d’Arnaud (.267) continued his hot streak, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Alex Presley (.340) went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base, his 11th of the season. Brian Friday (.263) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run.

Notes: Phillip Irwin (2-0, 0.82) pitched six innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits, with a walk and four strikeouts. I 22 innings this year, Irwin has allowed just two earned runs, with a 12:8 K/BB ratio. Diego Moreno (5.65) pitched two shutout innings, allowing a walk and a hit, and striking out four. Notes: West Virginia scored seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings, coming back to win 9-8. Justin Howard (.288) started things off in the eighth with a leadoff double. West Virginia brought in a few runs before Rogelios Noris (.233) broke things open with a pinch hit triple, bringing in the tying and go-ahead runs.
Zack Von Rosenberg (7.91) struggled yet again, allowing six runs on six hits in 2.1 innings, with two walks and a strikeout. Zac Fuesser (1.73) allowed two runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings, with three walks and five strikeouts. Zach Foster (1-1, 5.19) pitched two shutout innings, allowing one walk and one hit, and striking out four.
