Pirates DVR: Jared Oliva Steals Third, Scores and Defense Rules The System

Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.

Daily Video Rundown

Jared Oliva

There weren’t many offensive highlights available in the system, but luckily that was made up for easily with the amount of plays made with the glove, especially in Altoona.

Starting in Indianapolis, and with some of the offense generated, what started off as a steal of third base by Jared Oliva turned into the first run of the night for the Indians.

Brendt Citta

Known mostly for his bat, Brendt Citta made this slick catch to end the eighth inning in a game they ended up winning.

Liover Peguero

Peguero makes this slick sliding stop with the glove on the opposite side of the bag, and is able to throw the runner out in time. He’s struggled a bit this season with errors, but is still capable of bringing you out your seat with the glove on occasion.

Connor Scott

The outfielder looks like he’s starting to break out an extended slump with some extra-base hits over the past week. One consistent thing with him for the majority of the season is his glove. Scott has played some great defense in the outfield this year, and you can add this catch to that.

Kyle Nicolas

Nicolas got the start for the Curve and pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing three hits, one run and three walks while striking out three batters. Here’s one of the strikeouts.
