Daily Video Rundown

Sean Sullivan

It isn’t easy pitching in Greensboro, you can take one look at the home/road splits and tell. Sean Sullivan is among those who have fallen victim of the launching pad that is Greensboro, owning a 6.30 ERA at home with a 3.86 mark on the road.

Tuesday he got the start for the Grasshoppers, allowed four runs in five innings but struck out 11 in the process. Both the innings and strikeout totals were career high for Sullivan.

Tyler Samaniego

Not every pitcher struggles in Greensboro, however, and Tyler Samaniego was one of them. After allowing just one earned run in 17 innings with the Grasshoppers, he was promoted to Double-A Altoona before Tuesday’s game and immediately made his first appearance.

The scoreless appearance is his 11th straight without giving up an earned run. He struck out the last batter to turn things over to the bottom of the ninth.

Matt Fraizer

Fraizer’s bat is starting to look like it’s heating up, as he’s going through one of his better stretches of the season. In his last five games, Fraizer has gone 7-for-18 with four extra base hits.

Brendt Citta

Brendt Citta added on to his hitting streak to five games on Tuesday, picking up two, one of which brought the Curve to within one.

Ji-Hwan Bae

Ji-Hwan Bae has gotten a lot of attention for his bat this year, for good reason, but Tuesday he made a great play with the glove. Playing shortstop, but on the other side of the infield, Bae goes up to rob Vinnie Pasquantino of a hit.
