Josh Harrison Out of the Lineup Today After Being a Gametime Decision

Pirates manager Clint Hurdle listed Josh Harrison as a game time decision for today’s tilt with the Cubs. Harrison left yesterday’s suspended game with the Cubs after injuring his ankle. He didn’t play in the second game.

Hurdle said he has a lineup with Harrison in it and one with him out. He said that Harrison’s pre-game response to the ankle will determine if he plays. While there is a delay with the lineup posting, this is great news and means Harrison’s injury is likely only day-to-day.

UPDATE 1:08 PM: Harrison is out of the lineup today.

Ryan has been following Indianapolis baseball for most of his life, and the Pirates since they became the affiliate in 2005. He began writing for Pirates Prospects in 2013, in a stint that ran through 2016 (with no service time manipulation played in). Ryan rejoined the team in 2022, covering Indianapolis once again. He has covered the Pirates in four different big league stadiums. Ryan was also fortunate enough to cover the 2015 Futures Game in Cincinnati.
