The West Virginia Power have added Jake Burnette to their roster, and will have the right-hander starting tonight. Clay Holmes has been added to the disabled list, retroactive May 9th.

No word on the injury to Holmes, although hopefully it explains his 6.10 ERA and 17:25 K/BB ratio in 31 innings this year. UPDATE: It’s a right ankle injury for Holmes, which doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with his pitching.

Burnette threw 21 innings in State College last year, with a 4.71 ERA and an 8:6 K/BB ratio in 21 innings. He has a fastball that sits in the 90-93 MPH range, along with a good curveball and a good changeup. He missed a lot of time last year with elbow soreness.
