Indy is currently in 3rd place, 13.5 games out of first place. They will begin their all-star break following Sunday’s game and then resume their schedule next Thursday.
AA: Altoona (37-49) VS Bowie (44-41) 7:00pm
Probable starter: Jeff Locke (5-8 4.57)
Locke has made 16 starts this season coming into tonight. In his last appearance he came on in the 2nd inning following a Joe Beimel rehab appearance. Locke went 5 innings allowing 6 earned runs on nine hits and he struck out seven. It was his second straight seven strikeout game. In his last ten appearances he has struck out 58 batters in 51 innings but has a 5.47 ERA over that time.
High-A: Bradenton (39-46 overall 9-6 2nd half) VS Lakeland (41-41 overall 5-7 2nd half) 5:00pm DH
Probable starter: Brett Lorin (3-5 2.90) and Brian Leach (1-2 7.82)
Brett will make his 12th start of the year tonight. In his last game he lasted just 3 innings while giving up 8 runs but only two of those runs were earned. He faced Lakeland on May 24th and pitched 6 scoreless innings. Among the 20 starters who have made at least ten starts in the Pirates farm system, Lorin has the highest K/9 rate(9.1) with 69 strikeouts in 68.1 innings pitched.
Low-A: West Virginia (41-42 overall 6-9 2nd half) @ Hagerstown (49-36 overall 9-6 2nd half) 5:05pm DH
Probable starter: Colton Cain (5-6 3.14) and Jameson Taillon (2-1 2.74)
Colton is making his 17th start of the year, tops among WV pitchers. In his last start he went 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits,one walk and he struck out five. He leads WV in innings pitched (86) strikeouts (66) and WHIP with a 1.00 mark. On the road this year Colton is 3-1 3.03 in seven starts.
Jameson will make his 13th pro start tonight and his 3rd since the SAL all-star break. In his last appearance he went 3.2 IP giving up two unearned runs and he struck out five. He walked two batters as well, he had allowed just four base on balls in his first 11 games. Taillon is 2-1 3.08 in six road starts this year.

State College currently sits in last place in their division, nine games behind the 1st place Jamestown Jammers. Only the Aberdeen Ironbirds(3-19) have a worse record in the NYPL.

The GCL Pirates are in 2nd place and trail their current opponent, the Phillies, by one game in the standings.
