Notes: Indianapolis got a huge effort from the offense tonight, led by a big game from Alex Presley (.344). Ā Presley went 3-for-5, hitting two separate three run homers, giving him eight homers on the year. Ā Matt Hague (.296) went 1-for-3 with a homer and two walks. Ā Gorkys Hernandez (.271) went 3-for-5 with two doubles. Ā Chase d’Arnaud (.271) returned to the lineup, going 1-for-4 with two walks and two runs.

Justin Wilson (6-3, 3.19) bounced back from a poor start last time out, pitching six innings, and allowing two runs, both unearned, on five hits, with three walks and three strikeouts. Ā Chris Leroux (4.15) pitched a shutout inning with two strikeouts. Ā Scott McCauley reports that Leroux has a new delivery, which has led to eight strikeouts in 8.2 shutout innings over his last five games. Ā Leroux was hitting 96 MPH several times tonight.

Curry hit his first homer at the AA level.

Notes:Ā Jeff Locke (4-5, 4.99) has had some rough outings lately, but was successful tonight, allowing one run on three hits in 5.1 innings. Ā Locke was wild, with five walks, but did strikeout eight batters. Ā Diego Moreno (1.93) pitched 1.2 shutout innings, allowing a hit, no walks, and striking out four. Ā Michael Dubee (2.76) pitched two shutout innings, allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out one.

Matt Curry (.400) went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer, his first at the AA level. Ā Jordy Mercer (.253) went 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Ā Quincy Latimore (.234) went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer. Ā Brock Holt (.297) went 3-for-5 with a triple. Ā Every member of the Altoona lineup recorded at least one hit.

Am I crazy for thinking Curry and Presley should definitely be considered top 10 prospects?
