Owens was hammered for seven runs in five innings.

Top Hitter: Shelby Ford (2-for-3, 2B, HR, BB, 2 RBI)

Notes: Rudy Owens (4-4, 4.95) had a rough night, allowing seven runs on ten hits in five innings.  Owens allowed five runs in the first, needing 40 pitches to get through the inning.  He threw 47 pitches in the next four innings, allowing two runs.  Cesar Valdez (2.64) pitched 1.2 shutout innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out two.  Corey Wimberly (9.00) actually threw an inning in relief, allowing one run.

Shelby Ford (.625) went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, and two RBIs.  Alex Presley (.340) went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Miles Durham (.143) went 1-for-3 with a double.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Pribanic pitched seven shutout innings.

Notes: Aaron Pribanic (5-2, 2.29) pitched seven shutout innings, allowing five hits, one walk, and striking out two.  Michael Dubee (2.93) pitched a shutout inning, striking out two.  Noah Krol (3.80) allowed one run, but got the save.

Brock Holt (.296) went 4-for-5 with two doubles.  Matt Curry (.250) went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Tony Sanchez (.272) went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

McPherson lost a no hitter in the ninth inning.

Elevys Gonzalez (.314) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.  Evan Chambers (.196) went 2-for-3 with a walk.  Jarek Cunningham (.291) went 1-for-2 with a double.

WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

Grovatt went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Daniel Grovatt (.299) went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and a stolen base.  Drew Maggi (.210) went 2-for-4.  Mel Rojas Jr. (.247) went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs.
