Owens allowed three runs in six innings.

Starting Pitcher: Rudy Owens (6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 0 HR)

Top Hitter: John Bowker (2-for-4, BB, 2 RBI)

Notes: Rudy Owens (4-3, 4.21) allowed three runs on five hits in six innings, with a walk and two strikeouts.  Cesar Valdez (2.89) pitched 1.2 shutout innings, allowing a walk and striking out two.  Tim Wood (4.09) pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts to close out the game.

John Bowker (.348) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a walk.  Josh Harrison (.314) and Gorkys Hernandez (.248) each went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.  Matt Hague (.295) also went 2-for-4.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Marte went 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Notes: Aaron Pribanic (4-2, 2.60) had a rough start, allowing four runs on ten hits in five innings, with a walk and a strikeout.  Matt McSwain (5.79) pitched three shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out four.  Noah Krol (3.72) pitched a shutout inning with one strikeout.

Starling Marte (.335) went 2-for-4 with two doubles.  Tony Sanchez (.272) went 1-for-4 with a solo homer.  Brock Holt (.280) went 1-for-4 with a stolen base.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

Irwin struck out ten in six innings.

Notes: Phillip Irwin (1.85) allowed four runs on six hits in six innings, with a walk and ten strikeouts.  Irwin had given up just three runs in 28 innings coming in to tonight’s start.  Brett Sinkbeil (0-1, 8.31) allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits in two innings.

Cole White (.179) went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.  Evan Chambers (.185) went 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk.  Elevys Gonzalez (.317) went 1-for-2 with a triple, two walks, and two RBIs.  Robbie Grossman (.267) went 2-for-4 with a run.

WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

Curry went 3-for-5 with two doubles.

Notes: Colton Cain (3-4, 3.68) allowed three runs on three hits in six innings, with two walks and four strikeouts.  Trent Stevenson (6.56) pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out one.  Victor Black (0.00) was activated today, and pitched a perfect inning.

Matt Curry (.375) went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs, plus a stolen base.  Elias Diaz (.194) went 3-for-4 with a double.  Daniel Grovatt (.292) went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run.  Drew Maggi (.203) went 1-for-2 with two walks, and his ninth stolen base of the year.

Notes: Jordan Galvez (.296) went 3-for-5 with a triple.  Jose Roman (.324) went 2-for-4.  Edgard Munoz (.263) went 0-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.  His signing, along with four other international signings, was announced earlier today.
