A few 2011 draft prospect notes heading in to the weekend:
-Anthony Rendon returned to third base on Wednesday against Houston. Fox Sports Houston’s MK Bower looks at how this return to the field could help Rendon at the plate.
-The Rice Owls web site has an interview with Rendon after Wednesday’s game.
–Patrick Ebert of Perfect Game looks at the battle for number one between Rendon and Gerrit Cole.
-Keith Law has his updated top 50 rankings, and puts Cole ahead of Rendon.
–Jim Callis held at chat at Baseball America, talking about the draft and other topics. Among the highlights, he mentions that he doesn’t see the Pirates backing away from Cole and Rendon due to Scott Boras being their advisor, and he would bet on Cole being the pick if the draft was today.

9:00 PM EST – UCLA (Cole) at USC
