The Pittsburgh Pirates have officially signed left hander Scott Olsen, according to the team’s Twitter feed. We learned yesterday that Olsen received a one year deal for $500,000, with up to $3 M in performance bonuses. We also learned that the deal includes a club option for $4 M for the 2012 season. No word on whether there is a buyout on that option, although it could be for $500,000, since the deal was originally reported to be around $1 M.
