Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Josh Bell has been named the Player of the Week in the Florida State League for the week ending June 15th. The 21-year-old right fielder is the first Marauders player to win the award this year. Bell went 6-for-13 with a home run in each of the last three games. He drove in five runs during a week that was abbreviated due to the FSL All-Star game. Bell participated in the All-Star game and went 0-for-4 with a walk. He has a .318/.368/.512 slash line this season and he hasn’t struck out in his last 31 at-bats.
Bell’s strong week landed him the top spot in our top ten hitters of the week.
