The Pittsburgh Pirates made their first two cuts of Spring Training 2.0 by sending right-handed pitcher Geoff Hartlieb and left-handed pitcher Miguel Del Pozo to Altoona, where they will join the rest of the 60-man roster players not currently at PNC Park.

The Pirates need to get their roster down to 30 players by this time next week for Opening Day. They had 38 active players in camp at PNC Park prior to today. The 26-year-old Hartlieb pitched 29 games for the Pirates last year, struggling with a 9.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP in 32 innings, though he did have 35 strikeouts. The 27-year-old Del Pozo was signed as a minor league free agent over the off-season. He debuted in the majors in 2019 with the Los Angeles Angels and had a 10.61 ERA in 9.1 innings and 17 appearances, with 11 strikeouts and a 1.93 WHIP
