Jeff will get his 5th start with Indianapolis today. He made 22 starts and one relief appearance with Altoona this year posting a 7-8 4.03 record in 125 innings. Jeff has recorded 133 strikeouts this year, six behind his career high he set last season. In his last start he allowed one run over 7 innings and he struck out eight.

Irwin will make his 14th start with Altoona and 24th start overall this season. In 135 total innings he has walked just 21 batters while striking out 105, six behind his career high set last season. In his last start on Wednesday, Irwin threw 7 shutout innings and won his 13th game, highest total in the entire Pirates organization.
