MLB Issues Statement on Work Stoppage

Major League Baseball issued a statement regarding the current work stoppage after Commissioner Rob Manfred conducted a conference call with representatives of all 30 MLB teams.

The Centers for Disease and Prevention issued a statement yesterday, with a recommendation to restrict events of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks. MLB plans to follow those recommendations and said today that they will keep fans updated on possible scheduling decisions. Eight weeks would take us into early May before they start up again.
