Game Notes: Burres had allowed 31 runs in his last 34.2 innings prior to tonight’s strong outing. He threw 116 pitches, 84 going for strikes. The outing was a big boost for Indianapolis, as they are already short on pitchers, and that problem will only get worse with Kevin Correia hitting the DL today. Dusty Brown gave the Indians a 2-0 lead in the second with a two RBI double.

Game Notes: Altoona came back from two down in the bottom of the ninth, winning on a walk off walk. Starling Marte had his fourth three hit game in his last nine starts. Coming in to the game, he was hitting for a .390 average in August, with a 1.088 OPS. Left hander Tyler Cox, who was called up from Bradenton today, got the win after pitching a shutout inning in relief.

Game Notes: Schwind had the only hit of the game, hitting his third homer of the year. Lopez set a career high in strikeouts, and almost doubled his career total of eight coming in to the game. Jimy Hernandez, Yhonathan Herrand, and Jackson Lodge combined to give up eight runs in 3.1 innings.
