Notes: Rudy Owens (2-2, 4.50) had his second straight rough start, allowing six runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings, allowing one walk and striking out two. Chris Leroux (5.25) pitched 2.1 shutout innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and striking out two. Jose Ascanio (19.29) pitched a shutout inning in a rehab appearance.
The Indianapolis offense was held to three hits. Andrew Lambo (.200) went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Alex Presley (.341) and Gorkys Hernandez (.259) had the other hits, with Hernandez stealing his seventh base of the season.

Notes: Mike Colla (1-1, 4.15) made the start today, filling in for Bryan Morris, who was placed on the disabled list yesterday. Colla pitched four innings, allowing two runs on two hits, with no walks and four strikeouts. Both runs came on solo homers. Matt McSwain (9.00), who was called up to take Morris’ spot, pitched four innings, allowing four runs on four hits, with two walks and a strikeout.
Quincy Latimore (.242) was responsible for both runs, going 2-for-4 with two solo homers, his first two of the year. Jeremy Farrell (.319) went 1-for-4 with a double. Kris Watts (.286) went 1-for-3 with a double. Starling Marte (.354) went 1-for-4 with his seventh stolen base of the season.

Notes: Bradenton won in five innings on a rain and lightning shortened game. Jeffrey Inman (1-0, 1.59) got the start, pitching five innings, allowing four runs, one earned, on four hits, with no walks and two strikeouts. Calvin Anderson (.242) boosted the offense with a three run homer, his second in as many days. Aaron Baker (.329) went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Robbie Grossman (.280) also went 2-for-2.
WEST VIRGINIA POWER (A)

Notes: West Virginia concluded their suspended game from yesterday, winning 14-2, after leading 7-1 in the second when play was suspended yesterday. For my recap of how Jameson Taillon (4.50) did, check out yesterday’s article. Zac Fuesser (1-0, 1.69) pitched five shutout innings today, allowing four hits, no walks, and striking out eight. Trent Stevenson (4.76) closed it out with two innings, allowing one run on one hit, a solo homer.
Matt Curry (.418) went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Justin Howard (.328) went 2-for-5 with a two run home run. Daniel Grovatt (.292) went 1-for-3 with three RBIs. Elias Diaz (.148) went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Andy Vasquez (.300) went 1-for-3 with a homer.
Colton Cain (1-1, 4.58) pitched game two, going five innings, and allowing three runs on eight hits, with a walk and three strikeouts. Casey Sadler (3.86) pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts. Jairo Marquez (.556) went 2-for-3. Matt Curry went 1-for-2 with two walks. Daniel Grovatt went 1-for-3 with a run.
