The State College Spikes and MILB auctions have been auctioning off game worn jerseys of Pirates prospects from the 2010-2012 seasons. The final auction ends today, February 28th, at 5 PM. Some of the top prospects in the system have jerseys included in this auction. Among the big names are Alen Hanson, Gregory Polanco, and Jameson Taillon. The details of the auctions, and all of the players who will have jerseys up for sale, can be found below.
Bid on Authentic Pirates Prospect Game-Worn Jerseys thru Thursday at 5 p.m.!
This Thursday, February 28, at 5 p.m. will mark the close of an exciting opportunity for any Pittsburgh Pirates fan or baseball collector to own official game-worn jerseys from top Bucco prospects! Throughout the month of February the State College Spikes and MiLB Auctions have made available game-worn jerseys from 14 of the top names in the Pirates minor league system, including Josh Bell, Alex Dickerson, Alen Hanson, Luis Heredia, Starling Marte, Gregory Polanco and Jameson Taillon.
Each jersey includes authentic embroidery and name plate (and maybe even a dirt stain or two!) and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the team.
Jerseys that are up for auction through Thursday at 5 p.m. include: Stetson Allie (#48 Alternate Red, 2010-11 Season), Matt Curry (#54 Home White, 2010 Season), Alex Dickerson (#57 Alternate Red, 2011 Season), Alen Hanson (#16 Alternate Red, 2011 Season), Nick Kingham (#31 Alternate Red, 2011 Season), Taylor Lewis (#25 Home White, 2011 Season), Gregory Polanco (#26 Alternate Red, 2011 Season), Mel Rojas Jr. (#53 Home White, 2010 Season), Jameson Taillon (#43 Alternate Red, 2010 Season), Zack Von Rosenberg (#32 Home White, 2010 Season)
Each jersey has a minimum bid price and bids will be set to increase by $15. The high bidder when the auction ends will win the jersey and will have the jersey shipped ($12.95 will be added to the final bid price to cover shipping).
