WTM’s PLAYER PROFILE |
Reynoso was 20 when he signed and turned 21 during his debut season. He’s a small lefty, but he can reach 97 mph. So far, he’s suffered from significant control problems.
2018 Reynoso started six games and relieved in ten. He mostly struggled, especially with his control, but he pitched very well in four August games, holding opponents to a 159/264/175 line. 2019 Reynoso pitched mainly in relief in the GCL, where control problems continued to hamper him. The Pirates tried having him tone down his velocity to improve his command, but it’s hard to say whether it’s helped yet. Reynoso’s 2020 assignment will probably have a lot to do with whatever progress he makes on finding the plate. |
