WTM’s PLAYER PROFILE |
Eardensohn was mostly a reliever in two years at Iowa Western CC and two at Coastal Carolina. At the latter school, he was teammates with two Pirates draftees, Cody Wood and Jake Wright. He had a very strong season as a junior, with a 2.18 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and .188 opponents’ batting average. He didn’t pitch as well as a senior, with a 4.02 ERA and .272 opponents’ average. Between the two seasons, he struck out 109 in 115.2 IP.
2019 Eardensohn pretty much did a tour of the Pirates’ system, pitching always in relief. He threw strikes and was generally effective. Eardensohn’s travels in 2019 probably serve as a preview of what he’ll be doing for the Pirates going forward. |
