| Voiron went to Louisiana prep powerhouse Jesuit HS and the spent two years at a strong JC program, Delgado College. During his first season at the latter, he threw out 25 of 43 attempted base stealers. His hitting picked up a lot in his second season, narrowing the gap with his defense. Voiron also pitched some in high school when he wasn’t behind the plate, but catching has been his natural position. He has a commitment to go to North Carolina State, so the Pirates would have to go over slot, possibly by quite a little, to sign him. |
