| Paulino signed as an athletic infielder with a good chance to play short, but so far he’s played mostly at third. He has good speed and, like a lot of young international signees, needs to get stronger.
2022 Paulino played third in the DSL and had error problems, with an .843 fielding percentage. At the plate, he drew walks but had trouble making contact. Paulino will probably have to impress the Pirates during the off-season to make it to the FCL in 2023. |
