| Lockery was a starter for four seasons at Central Connecticut State. He was an outstanding hitter starting with his sophomore year, when he put up a .344 average. He broke out as a junior, hitting .330 with a .932 OPS and a 52:18 BB:K ratio. His numbers dropped off just slightly as a senior, mostly with his BB:K ratio, but he still had a strong season, with a .902 OPS. He also improved defensively over his career. As a senior, Lockery signed quickly.
2018 Lockery split his time between short, second and third. He had a solid season at the plate, with very good plate discipline. 2019 Apart from filling in at Bradenton briefly, Lockery spent the season at West Virginia. He got semi-regular playing time, mostly at third with a dozen starts at second and three at short. Lockery will probably play a utility role as needed in the low minors in 2020.
